The people I met were all wonderful as well. The other guests, from Belgium, Holland, Switzerland and Italy, were all friendly and generous, organizing activities and trips together each day. Here is my self-appointed tour guide, Bruno, a young man from Belgium, who took me to several of the wonderful cottage industries, a few good cafes (oh migod - a cup of really good coffee and croissants, for under $1 - I could almost forget I was in India!) and helped me get over my intimidation with mopeds.
