More interior - this is primarily marble with inlay of malachite, lapis, carnelian and tiger eye. The tour guides like to show us how the carnelian was translucent, and would glow red when a flashlight was placed over it. These tours were pretty good except for the unscheduled stop at a tourist trinket place where the guide would get a commission. We would be rushed through many of the legitimate sites in order to fit in this shopping stop - which strangely had no time limit...
